My Biology students were supposed to send a photograph of their african violet cuttings every other Friday. I would remind them - some one nod their heads, others would say their plant had died and inquired about when I would get them a free replacement, others just stared.
Apparently this student listened and here is his plant doing well - almost three months later. Go figure. Just when you least expect it, an idea germinates and catches on.
Once I did a lot of painting and remodeling. The name of my emerging business was everbrushstrokes. I like to think of my teaching career as a time of forever giving and receiving the brushstrokes of pedagogy and insight inside and outside the walls of life's classroom. My mission on this blog and in the classroom is to share the wonders of this world. I teach physics and physical science at the Madison Central High School.
